It happens pretty often.
Sometimes there is phases where i don't get them for weeks, then there is weeks where it happpens 1-3x a day.

I have a genetic condition that affects blood coagulation that has something to do with it.

'Von-Willebrand disease' is what it's called.

Once in Kindergarten i even went to the hospital because of it.
It could have been easily avoided by simply pressing on a certain spot on the nasal bridge, but the child educators weren't allowed to touch me or do any medicalish stuff in this kind of situation, so they just didn't do anything.
They hoped it would just stop by itself, but due to my condition it didn't and the ambulance was called.

It wasn't that drammatic in the end, but
HOLY SHIT it scared the crap out of 4 yr old me.

Why were they not allowed to touch you? I mean, you were bleeding, isn't that urgent and couldn't they call your parents and ask for consent?

shittt that's unfortunate :feelscry:
i heard exposing urself to the cold can help with bleeding
and ofc the basics make sure you get a lot of iron, vitamin c and proteins after bleeding and don't neglect drinking 2l's of water (i know u prob do that but just making sure in case :feelsokman:)

Tbh, there isn't much i can do to prevent it eather.
It often happens when i sneeze, so i gotta be careful and let the air escape through my mouth instead of my nose.
