The problem is, I don’t have Steppe haplogroups, unlike most South Asians. Yet, I still have pretty high Steppe-related ancestry in my autosomal results, around 20-21%. This is most likely because my ancestors received female-mediated Steppe. My personal theory is that hair colors and eye colors are the result of genetic mutations, that can occur in any ethnic group, and this is why we have it. Not necessarily - and as my DNA test has proven - because of any foreign admixture/ancestry. I’m mostly Farmer-heavy, over 50%.View attachment 3765467
