I've gotta question for PSL enthusiasts & experts: Why did David Gandy age so quickly?

Here in the video is a compilation of him made 5-6 years ago of photos of him between 33 and 36. We can see already he looks 40. Looking at him now (Someone can post photos) of him ACTUALLY AT 40, he looks mid 40s.

Now so the question is: Why does one of the most iconic models of the last 2 decades look a comfortable 5 years older than his real age? As a model he would have been strictly on-top of his skincare routine. He would have had all the paths in-place to ageing well with the right nutrition, fitness/strength training etc. And remember this guy works out hard-core.

It baffles me. If you don't know the answer, don't larp.

how you age is partially genetics too so it could just be that

Your forgetting that he smokes which destroys collagen levels over time

Oh shit that's right. Never knew he smoked. Makes sense now. I was about to suggest; 'genes for good-bones, but no genes for collagen production". Makes sense now. Though strength-training increases collagen production, but I guess all he was doing was cancelling it out with that. Millennials and Zoomers barely smoke so this isn't an issue for us.

his phenotype is a paler anglo with pinkish skin, but his brand was based off of being a dark looks supermodel, so he prob spent a considerable amount of time turning his skin into leather to achieve that reddish-brown skin tone for his shoots (very damaging to skin youthfulness)

Probably didn't use sunscreen to begin with, you can sunburn during your early 20s all you want, you'll barely see any down sides, but once you hit your 30s, shit will come all at once.

+ he let his hair and eyebrows go

I have a feeling he has been on finasteride which fucked his collagen, that or brutal agepill
nvm just saw that he smokes, that definitely fucked him up hard

He moves his facial muscles too much and always touches his face.
Tbh this is just a theory

Autismmax

Of course, no one wants to admit that genes are the main reason for this

Exercising your facial muscles is good. It's muscles that hold bone(s) in-place and even moves them into place during puberty and adolescent development. So I know this is wrong. This is why they have face muscle exercises, many of which I am unashamedly going to admit I do.

What is finasteride?

Because smoking doesn’t have a considerable effect on the body right

But just for debating sake, let us consider this:

Oh hair-loss prevention. I'm sorry. Do accept my apology for I have the most insane 9/10 hair-gene.

Brutal pill indeed. Only ethnics are the true original dark look moggers

Reality sets in for how unlucky he got for being caucasian.

He’s of Anglo phenotype so he naturally has very thin skin + he smokes + he tans for modeling. All three of these factors resulted in terrible looking skin as he aged
