In the span of eight long years, I've only had the warmth of real-life social interactions with someone my age three times. It was with a friend, one who lived miles away. Each time, he stayed at my place for a few days. We lost ourselves in video games, shared laughs over movies, and for those brief moments, I felt a connection that broke my usual solitude. But it's been about four years since I talked to him. The echo of that fun, those shared smiles, still lingers in my heart, a cherished memory in an otherwise empty life. Sometimes, late at night, I find myself wondering - will I ever feel that joy again? Will I ever find someone to share such simple, yet profound moments with? Or is this solitude my forever?
Well I guess that's life.
