I've had insomnia for so long it's genuinely making me a retard

I miss the days I used to effortlessly sleep for 7-10 hours per day without even trying, going to bed at the perfect time of 10 pm and waking up at 5-8 am, life was perfect, I have no idea how but it's like I've lost the ability to sleep, and each time I wake up I just want to stay up forever, even when I feel sleepy asf when I go to bed for some reason I literally cannot sleep and it's been literally rotting my brain for weeks if not months, I only sleep on accident and in the worst scenarios, and I always only end up sleeping for 3-5 hours which is genuine insanity, if I keep living like this I can't see myself surviving 5 more years, need help.

Magnesium glycinate, eat more gelatin instead of meat, lower protein intake increase carbs (esp simple sugars like orange juice)
