also to start now you need at least 3k. i started with 26k though since back then (before PDT rule removal) the absolute minimum was 25k.

it also depends if you want to trade with prop firm or with live account.

for a live account, all US brokers follow the margin requirement rule. you need a minimum of 2k in the account, otherwise you literally cannot daytrade. and i recommend 3k because if you lose and fall below 2k you have to add back more money to day trade.

for prop firms you only need like a hundred bucks though.

also keep in mind there's no point in trading on a live account if you don't have at least a few grand. otherwise your returns will be so small that you are making less than a mcdonalds worker

i had a bunch of money off of flipping so i had around 40k to start i invested 10k into things i knew would make money like disney and the S&P500 and rockstars parent company i forgot what its called.

took me 1 trade to make $16 and that was about 9 mins in.

somewhat hard, i mean my friend gave comms the entire time so i did what he told me, before i left the call he told me to make 1 trade on my own and i profited $20something on that

worst case scenario is you lose momey but thats why you should have a net to rely on, preferably double of what you’re gonna be trading so if you put 3k in, have at least 6k as a backup

i trade for the entire market open every day, and also a little bit during late premarket / early after hours. so in total 6-7 hours. i trade every day btw
