I've known people with crossbites/narrow palates and still good jaw development.

I remember specifically one of my friends used to talk about his incorrect bite and widending of the palate and his jaw was 110/115 degrees with a lot of bigonial width. Comes to show how featuree seem to be independent of eath other. Though , I know in some studies crossbite correction( simple sarpe surgery not mse) eliminates some assymetry and of course less teeth wearing and tmj ...

They are always outliers
Just like some people who have wide palates and the perfect bite yet have shit facial development

Whether it was because of jew orthos or development we wont know, but still can be classed as outliers
