A fraternity is a "social club" on college campus. There are usually multiple of them, at my college there are about 15 fraternities and a bit more sororities (female version). To join a fraternity, you "rush" them. This means you visit all the fraternities in a short amount of time to see which frat you get along with, and the members of each house decide to give you a "bid" or not, a bid is basically an invitation to join.

The requirement to join a fraternity is to be a Chad, literally. Or atleast an NT upper tier normie. Frats only want good lucking guys to join them because they know that girls would be more willing to join their parties.

You'd be suprised, a frat is literally just like the movies. Tons of drinking and drugs and partying with the sororities. Ironically, most frats tend to keep a high grade point average because of the rampant cheating and test banks they have from over the years.

TlDr: Frats are a social club that only Chads are allowed to join, as an easy way to get girls and party with similar guys like you. The life of a guy in a frat, vs a guy not in a frat (independent), are completely different. About 20% of guys on campus are in a frat, the rest rot in their dorms and are usually virgins
