I've noticed that my cheekbones have gotten a lot stronger since wearing braces

I don't know how this happened and I'm surprised if it stays on for 1.5 years, it can enlarge my cheekbones and I didn't know it had such an effect.

so what happens to people when they get braces for overbite

because they dont pull the lower jaw/mandible forward they pull your upper teeth back

there is no bone being added it literally recesses you to line you up, just like the revsere where they recess your chin/mandible/lower teeth in order to fit your maxilla

I think it is impossible for the braces to pull the bone forward or backward because there is no forward or backward force on the jaw, only pressure on the tooth eruption.
