My (35f) boyfriend (38m) has lost all interest in sex with me. He is still incredibly affectionate in other ways, but when it comes to sex, he initiates maybe once a month, and about 90% of the time when I initiate I am turned down. This very morning I was trying to initiate and after 10 minutes of no response I gave up and came in the living room to cry. Like now he won’t even acknowledge my efforts.
He claims he’s still attracted to me and wants only me, that he wants marriage and a family, so I don’t know what’s actually going on.
He masturbates instead of having sex with me. I know he’s not cheating on me. And we are in couple’s counseling.
I don’t know how I got here, but it makes me so angry and sad that my bf won’t have sex with me anymore. I’ve considered breaking up with him since we have become sexually incompatible, but I know it would break both of our hearts.
Has anyone ever come back from a serious dry spell in your relationship?
