….but oftentimes better than the master of one.

A master of just one will not ascend much further in life than whatever’s the stratosphere of the given field. You can be extremely good at something cool but you’ll only ascend just so far in life if you aren’t atleast decent to the best in everything else - looks, NT, height, money.

Which is why it’s always better to rather than hyperfocus on one single field focus on everything while giving priority to your primary work ethic.

Take an example of myself, as much as I’d like to be the best in my class and score all A+ everywhere; doing that would require how Kevin Lee studies in my class, just straight 8-12hrs of studying with zero clubbing, gym, hanging out, dates, slaying nothing but every year he tops the class and his name is out there in the official site and the university notice board.

Then there’s Darren, 6ft and 6 packs ripped and the best in sports, goes to every concert in 500mile radius ever done till now, frat house parties every week but has 2 semesters on backlog by then for which he quit college since his girl left him for another guy in the batch who has a somewhat decent physique but atleast studied a bit and passed his semesters.

Then comes me, @Dr. Mog while I have improved a lot in terms of NT, aesthetics, weight loss, getting girls and even studies; I’m nowhere near being the ‘master of one’. I wanna improve my way in all these things looks, NT, academics, money and status while not being the best at anything in particular. I found that this is in fact the best way to navigate yourself through and ascend in life.

to truly be a master of one you have to dedicate the sum of all your free time to becoming and remaining the best in whatever field that may be, which ends up being an entire life's worth of work. to be a jack of all trades admits that most people would be happier exploring a range of interests, and improving their relationships with loved ones, doing self improvement, studying, etc, rather than only being the best at one of those things.

life is too complex for someone to boil it down to only one skill or trait, and it is a waste of life to not explore what else life has to offer. unless youre someone like nikola tesla who is one of the greatest minds in human history and dedicate your life to math/science because you are genuinely obsessed with it and youre the only one who could possibly make the discoveries you did, youre far more likely to be happy with friends, family, and gym along with the studies.

life is too complex to only focus on one part anyway, even if the part sometimes contribute to each other. hyper focus money -> better access to good food -> better health

Hyper Focusing on one thing will only get you far in that one thing
But focusing on multiple rather than hyper focusing will always be better and you will succeed in more fields of life than one

@Swarthy Knight will pull up to your house with a 9 inch dildo if GrAYs like you even dare again make a statement as such

It’s just more important to pick a high paying field to master. Specialising in mechanical engineering means I can design cool shit but never be able to afford to move out from my parents house. Meanwhile surgeons make millions each year.

My point was more like, yes be a good surgeon. Strive to be the best there could be. But remember to lifemax, get a gym membership, party, drive sports cars and overall be a jack of all trades other than knowing just how to incise, remove and suture a body part.

Honestly at this point I’ve come to realise that with enough money, you don’t need to be good at anything else, you can always pay to win.
