Japan isnt importing anything in mass in the near future. The justification is that they are using preemptive policies to not end up like Europe. Japanese tradcons also dont want to lose their seats to someone like Sanseito in the future because of obvious reasons. They are doing the same thing Denmark did, beat the populists at their own game by amplifying their talking points and adopting their policies and to shut off majority of the shit populists say. Now unless Sanseito becomes more extremist which alienates people who are not as extremist, or comes up with something new he isnt going to persuade tradcon voters to switch.
