after my filler arrived, i immediately injected that shit into my chin and had guuud results. so with this new confidence, i decided to try it out on my gonions

i struggled to find the edge of my ramus DESPITE having a three way mirror. i was just too retarded and kept entering the needle either behind the bone or too far from the gonial angle; it also didn't help that this side of my jaw is less developed, therefore making the corner a bit harder to see.

after FINALLY locating an area i was happy with, i injected about 0.4 units and pulled out to check results. i instantly noticed where i injected was WAY too low on the gonion and the filler looked like a fat pimple instead of bone... it looked even worse whenever my jaw opened or moved!
(post injection, which covered my neck and finger in blood)
a few minutes after the filler was deposited, the area started to swell and turn red. i was still mentally debating whether or not this was an early sign of vascular occlusion or some type of complication; i kept massaging the area hoping and coping it'd just stop . it hardened, started to ache, and i was panicking since it was past 2 am and i was home alone. chatjewpt wouldn't fucking tell me how to brew (reconstitute) the hyaluronidase i had and instead kept prompting me to seek immediate medical attention jfl. luckily, grok did the math and gave me straight forward instructions on what to do (ily grok). so, here i am at nearly 3 am (on a school night) having a conversation with a british robot and depositing saline into a $30 vial of hyaluronidase i don't even know will work--all while my skin is actively dying. the pain was growing, although the filler did contain lido, on top of the topical lido i had already applied to my skin, so it could've nulled the pain a bit. i couldn't gauge the exact depth where the filler was placed, so i started from the bone and injected hyal as i slowly drew the needle out. by now, my jaw was so sore that when (shakily) injecting the syringe in it was so painful i was literally crying from the pain. the amount of hyal grok suggested to use seemed like a little, so i ended up using one mL while thoroughly massaging the area, and then warm compresses with a towelette after. i didn't get much sleep that night

i didn't die, lose my skin, or go blind (although, it would've made a better ending to this story if i had loool) over the course of the next couple of days, the swelling and pain subsided, all of the filler is seemingly dissolved, although almost four days later it's still a little painful to the touch. i haven't seeked any medical attention yet and don't plan to because i don't want my family to suspect anything. i still don't know for certain what happened to me that day. now it looks like a slightly infected hickey, so if you've ever wanted to larp getting laid just (nearly) melt your heckin' skin off with black market filler bro!

i had another thread i had planned to post for my three year anniversary but then this happened. i'm really fucking embarrassed posting this but fuck it i hope someone can learn from my retardation. while VO is rare (and other complications), ALWAYS approach DIY's with the upmost caution and research. i still haven't given up completely on jaw filler yet, i'll reattempt once i'm healed but with a friends help.
