Jaw implant is ON or IN the masseter ?

i assumed that implant is between jawbone and the masseter, pushing the masseter outside, but apparently some implant are placed on the masseter.
Is that safer ? how the masseter would still work if it's compressed

i am 99.9% certain they place it on the bone underneath both masseter heads.

Because also, some people have masseter starting right on the gonial edge, and other have theirs starting just slightly above the edge like 5mm above.
kinda like bodybulders, some have their biceps attachement right on the base and other with longer tendons have their base at like 1/4 of the humerus

It’s a bit weird to me because when I clench my jaw I can feel that the masseter extends right down to the edge. Pretty much the whole lower attachment of the muscle would need removed to install an implant to enhance the jawline and I do not see how it could be reattached (pretty sure you can’t attach it to an implant?)

the deep part of the masseter attaches above the implant and the superficial part is pushed outwards by the implant; the implant is put right above the attachment of the superifical part. The superficial part attaches on the lower edge of the mandible more so than the lateral surface where the implant is.

It's placed under the masseters.

We can't really answer this kind of question: you have to chose a good surgeon and stick with him to address all those questions otherwise you're never going to get surgery anytime soon.

I don't know, I have a design session with my surgeon tomorrow. I will ask him. I'm also curious to know about that.
