Implants are a better option than genioplasty if your chin height is already good.

It also depends on your mentolabial sulcus:

If it is too deep you should get an implant since a genioplasty would not change it:

I was planning on getting PEEK implants mostly because I'm not sure if there are any osteotomies that widen the jaw. WOuld you mind telling me if there are any that exist?

Do MSDO to widen the chin and lower arch, then chew to increase masseter size and increase bigonial width. After that, if you arent recessed, get jaw and ramus implants
There might be a osteogenesis that widens the mandible also

This issue is that my teeth are already naturally straight even before any orthodontic tratement. I don't have any malocussion or any problems with my teeth. WIll that affect my ability to get MSDO?

There is not one single before and after pic of msdo online. Everybody is talking about it, but nobody ever saw a real result. The same goes for mse.

I read stories in realself & eppley's blog there are some people who carry implants for decades (like 30-40 years) without any problem.
if you don't have recession or bad forward growth implants are the only things that can give you model look.

if you don't have any infection problems after post op 2~3 months, it's really unlikely to have an infection in future.
i've never heard of that.

is there a source having late infections on face implants ? like 5 years later ?
