INTRO
I want to share my experience here to see if people are in similar positions or want to chat about the process.
Early 20s male, jaw implants and genioplasty with horizontal advancement and slight verrtical reduction.
I had a slim face before, but wanted more angularity to my jaw and my lower third was too long, hence the slight vertical reduction. And some retrognathia.
Due to my profession I just am not willing to post picture public, i know thats ass but im open to possibly sharing privately.
Problem
Post-op 1.5 years, my face just look like a bulky bag of potatoes depspite low bf%, a gap can also be felt between what seems to be the jaw implant (Medpor) and the genio osteotomy. The definition of ramus is gone, was present before. Implant was put slightly posterior and inferior. Chin also looks disconnected. Smile is also completely different in a bad way. This is partly my fault, I showed my surgeon some results i wanted and he said he's got me covered, I should have explained the exact movements for the implants.
UPCOMING
Next month I am getting Gyno surgery and buccal fat removal at same time.
The month after I am getting peri-orbital fat grafting and midface as well.
Question
Something must be done about the implants, the recovery and swelling was absolutely brutally horrendous. I want some suggestions on my options which are the following
1 : Remove implants Risk : How does my face look like with that genioplasty alone? Stick with fillers from then on for desired results?
2 : Reposition implants and shave (move them up to avoid boxy look that i have and anterior so it hugs the bone directly and get the surgeon to shave where neccesary and place osteotomy gap implant if needed) Here my risk is, will this improve anything? Sounds good in theory but everyone is different.
3: No fucking clue if some sort of chin implants would benefit making things look disconnected but something would still need to be done about jaw implants.
Again sorry for absent pics, looking for some similar experiences.
