Jaw Surgeon doesn’t recommend me Genioplasty, looking for opinions (Pics added)

I’m seeing a Jaw Surgeon, he’s aesthetic focused and wants to do the following:

Move top and bottom jaw forward (bottom about 6-7mm)

Move jaws downward - addressing “short face”

And also expand my palette.

I asked him about Genio. He said Genio is more for the shape of the jaw, and thinks mine is good already. But we can see closer to the surgery date.

I basically want the opinion of people in this community, cause I hear that surgery without Genio can be pointless

Nah, I’m saying one along the entire lower mandible. If you’d want more chin projection, then definitely look into the chin implant. The only concern is that if your mandible isn’t projected enough, you’d have a projected chin with a recessed mandible. To my eyes, it looks like you’d benefit from a full implant, one that runs from end to end of the mandible, including the chin.

I see what you’re saying. I like the idea of just having my actual bone moved rather than implants like that. It’s just more practical, and safe I think. I’m gonna see if 7mm is the most I can get, cause your right projection is king
