jaw surgery advice

I have been to a dentist and i have been told i have an underbite that can only be fixed by surgery so i dont have to larp my way into a surgery as i have been offered to fix it. Its true that my underbite nerfs my side profile and it makes me look like a fucking retard. The only problem is that i need to have braces for like 6 months before the surgery to put my teeth back to a neutral position as they have moved at a slight angle to contest the underbite so i will look even worse. I will need to have it wired shut for 2 weeks and no solid food for 4 weeks. I wont be able to go to the gym for 3 months as straining could fuck my jaw up. i will need braces after the surgery as well. I am currently 16 so what should i do?
