I know this is pretty water but I just want to emphasize on this.
The little red thing at the bottom circled in red is the hyoid bone and determines the sharpness of the jawline. Post surgery (on the right picture) you see how its sitting a lot higher now, improving breathing but most importantly your looks. Another factor is genioplasty. If the chin is moved forward, then via the geniohyoid muscle the hyoid bone will also get raised.
The only concern I have is that, if the hyoid bone gets raised to much, could that result into bad swallowing? I guess for me no, cuz mine is already super low, but lets say if you have a normal hyoid bone location but not good looking jawline, it might be that they raise it to high and food could enter your lungs instead of your stomach. I dont know
