my ortho said todsy that apparently they’re gonna have to take out 2 of my premolars on the bottom to be able to fix my bite (not heavily recessed but they’re on top of each other) but i asked if surgery was possible and they said something about how if i was to do surgery i’d have to get 2 top premolars removed instead. One of them also suggested removing bottom incisors instead. They said that if I don’t do anything about it it’s gonna start eroding my teeth so i kinda need it done. My next appointment is in a year and i just wanna know which ones the best option and which ones just gonna descend me. They also gave me this but idk what it means.

If they say they need to remove 2 top premolars if they do surgery on your lower jaw (probably BSSO), then ask if you can have Bimax so as to not remove any teeth at all.

They said something about bimax but i’m pretty sure they said they’d have to take out teeth regardless but i don’t want them to bring my mandible back if they do bimax because my mandible is mediocre at best and i don’t need it to be any worse. They also said lefort 1 would only be possible if it started becoming heavily recessed and i told them i was still growing so it’s still possible

Bimax already includes LF1 and brings the mandible forward via BSSO.

If there is an eighth molar on the lower jaw, they'll likely suggest removing it

Yes but they mentioned bringing the mandible back instead of forward for the bimax
That's not how it works. For an osteotomy to occur then the bone is cut for it to be elongated.
Maybe you incorrectly inferred what they meant to be CCW rotation.

Answer my mt1 question in that thread.

Hm kind of but not really. Is there any place for mt1 in winter over mt2?
No difference in effect other than MT1 is weaker and MT2 has side effects.
You're not asking me a relevant question. And yes, I did already answer this.

no they definitely said that they might have to bring back my mandible and bring forward my maxilla if it gets that bad and i asked them if they meant bimax and they said yeah. Also i don’t think it’s ccw because i don’t really need it, i’m not really recessed it’s just messing up my teeth

I don’t care what they said, that’s not how the surgery works.
