I am getting a orthodontic upper jaw surgery for my flat maxilla underbite and narrow palate (through insurance) and my gonial angle is pretty bad. Will the maxillary advancement+expansion change the look of my gonial angle in any way? ofc i know it wont change at all but will it appear that it has improved? OR AM I COPING JFL

cop, you need to move ur mandibular plane which comes from CCW with the BSSO

u either have a GENETIC bad gonial angle or a downgrown mandible which comes with recession. if you got the combination of death (short ramus+high gonial angle) with a relative good oclusion plane, you can only change it with gonial implants + vertical chin shave off.
