Jaw widening during bimax

Some surgeons offer this but I hear you need to be conservative to respect the TMJs. Is this a good idea to get done? I'm imagining I could just do the max I can and then probably get implants/fillers after if I still want more.
OR should one just fully opt for nothing but implants and fillers?

I recall reading reports from people who had this done with Mario PAGNONI that he can't decide for sure the amount of widening he can do until he starts cutting you up. I don't know what factors play a role in that decision beyond TMJ concerns though.

Why is this so? And brutal cause I wanna go with him. Do u think I should trust his judgement?

I believe the max is 5mm each side.
Can turn out really good if your ramus is developed and flared.

I had it done and it improved my jaw width significantly even though my previous ramus was inward and not flared at all, my ramus and jaw outline is now visible and prominent at all angles, that melted into the neck recessed jaw look is completely gone.
