When I bite down very hard on my jawliner trainer I sometimes activate my gag reflex. Anyone else get this? Is it something to be concerned about?

Because chewing gum activates buccinators, plus it stops being hard after a couple minutesWhy would you use a jawline trainer and not just train your muscles naturally by chewing hard gum like mastic or falim gum. The motion is much more natural than biting straight down on a piece of plastic

Honestly for me it's not too bad and it doesn't put me off chewing, it's just a little uncomfortable and concerning
I apply a lot of constant biting force on the jawline trainer for about 15-30 minutes in the morning, I don't chew it though because I don't want to activate buccinators. I do this just before eating a high protein meal. Then at night I use a mouthguard and try to grind my teeth in my sleep to further grow the masseters. Been doing this for about 2 weeks, so I don't know if I've made any gains yet but my muscles are getting pretty sore everytime I chew on it unlike when I was using mastic gum, so that's promising.You got more grit than me honestly
