JBW is especially true for women, maybe more than it is for men. Whenever men say that they prefer ethnic women, they’re usually talking about the ones who look the closest to white women. For example:

If they say they like (east) asian women, they’re usually talking about the ones who also look the closest to white women (very light/pale skin, double eyelids, small nose). Never the ones who have tan skin, flat noses or monolids.

When they say they like latinas, they’re talking about the ones who have significant european ancestry, never the ones with more indigenous features. The latinas they like are the ones who just look like tanned white women with black hair.

If they stay the like black girls (which they rarely do btw), they’re usually talking about the mixed ones with significant european blood (light skin, light eyes, small nose, lose curls). They don’t even consider (actual) fully black women when it comes to dating.
