It's just the trauma from JW upbringing yk, everyone sees every religion differently, the same way people shit on Buddhism but Buddhists will die on the hill.

To me i notice a lot of patterns in Christianity that i also noticed in JW. The difference is that Christianity is a set in stone religion that's been here for thousands of years, and had wars fought over it, meanwhile JW is random bullshit made up in a basement in Pennsylvania.

I have much more respect for christianity, but overall i can never find myself believing in a religion. I COULD understand believing in God, and having faith in a creator, but not in religion.

I mean, since you're Polish, I'd assume you would have a Catholic background. You can check out other churches. You can check out a Greek Orthodox church. You could also probably check out a Protestant church if you'd like. I know it will be a little bit awkward to go by yourself, but I'd recommend just going and seeing how things go because honestly, I think you'd have a great time and it'll give you meaning and purpose in life.

I didn't know you used to be a JW. That's crazy. In high school, I was surrounded by a lot of Pentecostals (and they were bad enough lol) so I couldn't even imagine how much worse JWs are, though I had some assumptions and had read a little bit about them

Sects and cults like these exist all over the planet; some still active today even promote incest and sexual relations with minors within the family, often due to ambiguous Bible verses that can be interpreted as being pro of such practice, and their followers see nothing wrong with engaging in this behavior with their own children

Some of them are as minimal as not being allowed to have long hair, and some of them are insanely life changing things like NOT ALLOWING ANY BLOOD TRANSFUSION

This includes blood donation, blood intake, or anything blood related.

In the past 80 years, this rule alone led to THOUSANDS if not tens of thousands of people to die because they refused blood transfusion to show their devotion to God.

Due to this backlash, the 'governing body' (people who are in charge of the religion, basically 'popes') decided that they've been mistaken for the past 80 years, and blood transfusion is actually fine!!

This means, thousands died for nothing. Thousands of families ruined for their devotion for God, and turns out it's all for nothing.

And of course, the brainwashed JWs are celebrating this change, without actually thinking for themselves, because that's what they were taught their entire life.

I have a JW friend he doesn’t want to be JW but if you leave you lose your whole family so he just stays on the down low and I can’t blame him for that. In the past is was worse for example, you were not allowed to go to college/uni . They said it was because the world would end anyway and you had more time for their religion but of course the real reason was if you left you would be screwed without any skills and experience. But my friend did it anyway because they became a bit more lenient. Over the years they change their options all the time if they think it’s beneficial. In some countries they also got sued and then they just changed their rules because of “revelations from god” but really it was because otherwise they would lose their tax exempt status in those countries.

Lately they also try to be hip and cool like the Mormons so they got on social media which would have been utterly unimaginable even five years ago but they are afraid of becoming irrelevant so again they changed their opinions on it. But many people know it’s bullshit they are just trapped basically.

If you know the history the “founder” actually didn’t even want to start a new religion with an organizational an hierarchical structure. He had some odd ideas but overall seemed like an interesting dude tbh. But the moment he died some guys created the JW organization and made it like it is today and that’s why it is now lead by a bunch of ugly ass blading uncs in New York .

They do live streams and everyone has to watch like they are a bunch of drones . They think it was a good strategy to use this technology and all but the truth is in the past you would never see these old ass losers. So they would have some mystique about them and people really believed they represented god on earth. But then they started doing zoom and suddenly you see they are just some boring grandpas telling everyone how to live and they don’t even know what they believe and change their opinions all the time. So inadvertently they may have set in motion the end of their whole organization because many are leaving or just don’t believe any of it secretly anymore.

As a kid we used to go to these big halls and just watch them talk on a live stream for 8 hours, it was absolute torture especially since as a kid you don't give a fuck about what they're saying.


It's actually insane how many people believe that there's 8 (or however many there are) random grandpas that were chosen to sit with Jesus on the throne in heaven.. And the GIGANTIC ego of these people to claim and 'live' that life is through the roof.

They're getting sued basically everywhere and in a recent broadcast they excuse it as being attacked by Satan and losing the court arguments because of 'bribery' and 'unjust-ness'. It's actually insane.
