How come the bible claims god has never been seen by anyone but jesus has been "seen by many".retard
"No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is himself God and is in closest relationship with the Father, has made him known." John 1:18. Nice job reading the verse you quote, retard.

Yeah, pretty much. Do you have a real internal critique or did I take down your entire argument by reading the verse you quoted?

Your argument was:
How come the bible claims god has never been seen by anyone but jesus has been "seen by many".retard
You want to make an internal critique by talking about what is within the bible, as stated in the beginning of your objection. I answered your question about scripture by quoting scripture. If your entire argument was that according to the bible, nobody had seen God, and people saw Jesus, it is answered internally as seen in the literal introduction of Jesus in John 1.

There is no paradox, but if you don't have the capacity to understand that how does that create an objection to begin with? God is outside of our understanding, if you cannot understand His will then that just proves it is not a purely human text like the quran or something which claims to be perfectly understood by the human mind.

Now, do you have a real critique or are you choosing to be ignorant?

If you reply dnr you like kids. Wait, you already like loli shit. :lul:

if god is outside human understanding then there is no way to tell the difference between him and something that doesnt exist, when a claim cant be tested measured or explained it isnt knowledge its just belief.we know humans wrote the bible because it carries the language culture and contradictions of its time if it were really divine it wouldnt depend on context or excuses like mystery to cover mistakes thats why calling it outside understanding isnt proof its just admitting there is none

This is just ridiculous. We know Jesus is God because he rose from the dead. If you think that this is not true despite the evidence, you are definitely coping or stupid, but lets say you don't trust what you didn't see personally. Do you know many facts about the universe despite not being able to personally prove them? Yes, you do. What about things we don't have a way to test or measure that is still likely true? There are many such things, yet they are still useful, and also not necessarily false. Now consider, you might say we can explain them (as though we can't explain the miracles being proof of the divine) but there are many things we can explain and test that turn out to be false, yet by your definition are knowledge. Take miasma for one example, before we understood bacteria this was the leading science and was justified. But it is false.

If you think you are Descartes, I suppose we can agree to disagree but I would expect you to take that attitude towards the rest of your life, the burden of proof ever increasing. Otherwise, you should be able to admit there are axioms and therefore you should engage with scripture on a serious level, either show why it cannot be true externally or internally. But at least make the effort to make an argument, and then at least be confident enough in that argument to stick to it and remember it when you are called on it being lacklustre. If we do just believe, that also doesn't make it any less true, for the record, and is a perfectly weak argument.

Humans did write the bible, that is actually some of the best evidence for scripture being real eyewitness accounts. It is both a human and a divine text, notice my wording? A text written in language only God knows wouldn't be very useful either. Scripture is inspired by God for the most part, some are directly narrated but that is less common. On what basis do you say that a divine text wouldn't 'depend' on context? While the bible doesn't actually require any historical knowledge, it certainly is a different reading experience when you know the places and the people. There are no excuses, additionally an excuse would be something later church fathers came up with to excuse an issue, but this is never the case.

Saying that God's nature is outside of your understanding is a statement of two points. Firstly, you don't understand because you are a stupid cunt who hasn't even tried to understand scripture to make a coherent argument. Secondly, we have a good idea of who God is considering we have 66 books talking about Him, but we cannot claim to know His will. God does what God wants. It isn't proof to say that God doing things in whatever way He deems good can be outside of our understanding, it goes against the idea that God was created by people as they would make Him fit their logic, and even then you wouldn't expect to understand exactly why a real being does what it does like a robot.

Please just make a coherent argument, it takes me so much time to dismantle the bullshit you spout in a matter of seconds because I am making real points and you are just floundering around hoping you can stay in the dark and indulge in sin.

you wrote a lot, but none of it actually proves god exists or that the bible is divine. you keep quoting scripture to prove scripture and miracles that can’t be measured or tested, while calling me a retard. the point is, claims about the supernatural require evidence outside the claim itself. if you say god exists because the book says so, or because miracles are unexplainable, that is circular reasoning and makes you look like a retard. meanwhile, i can show how humans wrote the bible with cultural biases and contradictions, so using the text itself as proof doesn’t hold. you want me to engage with scripture seriously, but you refuse to provide evidence anyone outside the faith could verify. that makes your argument strong only to believers; it does not make it objectively true.

sure the story of jesus’ resurrection is historically impactful and influential, that doesnt make it true impact doesn’t equal evidence if you want to prove it happened you need verifiable sources beyond religious texts and tradition, otherwise all you’re showing is that people believed it

i respect that you stick to the bible, but appealing to scripture or authority doesn’t prove supernatural claims outside the text. evidence from outside the claim itself is needed to evaluate truth.
