Go look at any thread from 2020 or 2021 and half the posters are permabanned, the mods on this site abuse their power while letting legit retards spam garbage all day. If you regularly post outside of offtopic it's like a timer ticks down to the time you get permabanned even though you didn't do anything. Unless they like you, that is. Which is why I got 70% for saying a sticky with misinformation was a dogshit thread and shouldn't have been stickied (I was right).

That’s exactly what off-topic is for: it’s where all the garbage-tier threads and posts go to. We are therefore stricter in other sections of the forum as they are meant to be serious and there’s no room for garbage-tier threads/posts. I agree, there are mods that abuse their powers and I’ve been on the receiving end of that (a pajeet mod who took things out on me because I was anti-pajeet, but I don’t behave the same way with pajeets on here). I’m probably very lenient myself.
