Actually wasn’t their fault, the christians back then would’ve done the same to muslims or hindus, just like they persecuted their own people who didn’t believe in the bible. They killed people who disagreed with a single bible verse, so it’s no wonder they didn’t like jews who don’t even believe in jesus, so they were considered as satanic and heretics, just because they had different beliefs. The jews didn’t had an own state during that time, so they were always living under the rule of other nations, mostly christian nations. Muslims had an powerful state (caliphate), so it wasn’t easy for europeans to "opress“ them, altough they tried to colonize muslims for over thousands of years, muslims were hated just as much, just like hindus, atheists or just everything that wasn’t part of christianity. They even hated each other, the catholic church refused to help the orthodox church against the ottomans, unless they would convert to roman catholicism, which resulted in 500 years of ottoman colony of orthodox christians in the balkans.
If for example muslims lived in medieval europe during the church-rule, they would‘ve experienced the same kind of hostility. If you wanna know what would‘ve happened to muslims under church-rule, look at what they did in spain to people who converted to Islam, plot twist: They tortured them for days in the most cruel ways until they died of exhaustion.
