the jewsus cuckrist character from the bible (mogs toilet paper btw) never said that purely because he never existed therefore it's impossible for him to have ever uttered any words.

Yes, Jesus was a historical figure. The majority of scholars agree that Jesus of Nazareth was a Jewish man who lived in the 1st century AD.

Evidence for Jesus' existence
  • Historical records: Jesus is mentioned by Jewish and Roman historians within decades of his supposed lifetime.

  • Christian writings: Dozens of Christian writings mention Jesus.

  • Physical evidence: Archaeologists have found a rock-hewn courtyard house, tombs, and a cistern in Nazareth, Jesus' biblical childhood home town. They have also found physical evidence of Roman crucifixions.
Scholarly consensus
  • The idea that Jesus was a mythical figure has been rejected by the scholarly consensus.

  • Scholars agree that a Jewish man named Jesus of Nazareth did exist.

  • Scholars distinguish between "the Jesus of history" and "the Christ of faith".

Other considerations
  • The historicity of supernatural elements like his purported miracles and resurrection are deemed to be solely a matter of "faith" or of "theology".

  • The Turin Shroud is controversial, with some parts dating to the Middle Ages.

Keep coping about the prophesized messiah
