I’m not talking about people who were drafted to war, or in world wars. No nothing like that

I mean the people who volunteer

Oh yes by all means you should have my respect by bombing a village in yemen

They do nothing at all to command respect

I nearly got beaten up by a wannabe soldier at my school a few years ago

Basically I stole his army hat because he visited a base or smth and they gave it to him

I ran off as fast as I could with it into a dead end so I threw the hat back at him since I didn’t want a fight

Then he pushed me into a wall and said “don’t you ever fucking do that again”

My old friends were laughing at me

But think about it, I’ll be getting a degree in engineering while he will be in a field in iraq or somewhere getting shot at by farmers

So is it really that funny?
