"psl" originally worked on standard deviation. one psl point being a standard deviation. 4psl is average, the set point.

as you can see, 96% of men are 2-6psl which makes sense statistically

I think the ratings are skewed. Like some dudes who genuinely look decent get underrated and others who look a bit shit get overhyped for having specific features that psl autists get wet over. But yeh some dudes definitely do coverage themselves

PSL and SMV ratings are different, which adds to the confusion of this system. Some people might rate a chadlite as 7/10 in terms of SMV, but give him a 5 PSL rating. I generally find adding 1.5-2 points to the PSL rating to convert it into SMV to be quite accurate most of the time.

4 psl is average, 5 psl is above average imo. 4.5 psl just means that you are closer to above average than average, could potentially be 5 psl with some softmaxxing. That's how I see it.
