Find more friends that do invite you and that come to your parties. These friends you have can still be usefull for other things.

I have friends I only go on holidays with once a year, and hardly speak/see for the rest of the year. Some others that I only go clubbing with, but hardly ever do anything else with. Etc. Take whatever you can get and don't expect too much from people, appreciate what you do get.

If you are investing more in a specific friendship than they are, cut back, unless you think it's worth it. Which also depends on how many other friends you have that could replace those people, etc. And how valuable their time is to you.


I remember chilling with a friend of mine that I knew since high school, on New Year's Eve. He was invited to 2 other parties aswell, but choose to chill with our high school homie group instead. It's all about options in the end. He probably didn't like the other 2 groups as much, but because he had so many friends he could simply choose the better option. Which is an ideal situation.

nah there's some times you can have true friends, I have 2 friends I've had for 8+ years who would do almost anything they can short of ruining themselves for me and if they asked the same for me I'd do for them, one of them had 300 bucks to his name but gave me 200 essentially without hesitating for an emergency I had and never even asked me to pay him back, but he knows I'll pay him back down the road cause thats what (true) friends are for

you cant expect those kind of relations from transient friends you meet at shallow events that youve hardly connected with though, I agree
