To be fair, the western muzzies don’t represent Islam. Nowadays neither do eastern muzzies, that’s why I am of the opinion that muzzies and Islam are separate concepts. Islam is infallible; perfect, whereas muzzies are the complete opposite. Only countries like Afghanistan are the true defenders of the faith. They don’t bow down to unbelievers nor do they seek to please them.
That’s exactly what happened when the US had invaded, they just looked the other way even though the government they planted were busy diddling boys. The Taliban abhors this practice and eradicated it. You shouldn’t compare the US-backed government with the Taliban. They are two completely different parties. One is just a puppet government and the other was the rightful government until it was overthrown by western invaders.

If they haven’t wiped it out it’s only because they haven’t been able to find any cases of it happening. Otherwise the people doing it would be a goner. It isn't a part of afghan culture because not everyone partakes in the degeneracy. Taliban mixes afghan culture with Islam, and so bacha bazi cannot be a part of afghan culture otherwise they would be promoting it.
