they dont call you becuse you "caught their attention". what they do is that they had to get a certain % of traffic on their platforms so they gonna invite losers for interviews then reject them for no apparent reason. See, if a company liked your CV then there is no reason to shaft you after the interview. Its because they never cared for ou in their first place, they just use you for statistic purposes.

The issue with lying is when they need to confirm the lie. And a lot job oppurtunities are under one company which would likely report your lie (at least where im at)

Just talk to them first on the phone: "Hello, is this interview like for real, or just for statistics purposes?". If they claim it's real but you still don't get the job, call back and ask them who they hired, then contact that guy and see what he's got and you don't.
