you're mixing up odds with chances.

RIght, more specifically betting odds. There are problems with these sites that cause the odds to get distorted. You have to deposit any money bet with the site, and they are not going to pay out till the election results are confirmed, that will not be for at least 5 months. So it discourages anyone from betting on the favorite. In reality Trump is about 70% likely to win. But no one wants to deposit $7,000 to win only $3,000 5 months from now, mostly because of the time value of money, but partly because there is a not insignificant chance the deposit money will just disappear in the next 5 months. Those issues do not exist to the same extent for the low probability candidates because the bet is much smaller.
