girl, mother and grandmother all have underbites but the girl was adopted, leading to belief the underbite was caused by environmental factors rather than genes

Neonatal brain damage caused me to develop low muscle tone, which later became an underbite due to chronic low tongue posture. Amazing how I was given speech therapy at 5, yet they said nothing about muscle tone or correct tongue posture/swallowing patterns.

didnt watch the video but i guess if you mew too much you get an underbite? that mewing shit shows a kid before puberty or during puberty, and shows the after picture after they are grown up. And some of yall actually believe it jfl. How pathetic are the turtlechins :lul::lul::ROFLMAO:

Deep bites are also caused by a very strong chewing muscles. Then the teeth starts to go inward and if u dont straighten ur teeth during puberty the mandible wont grow to how it was supposed to.

alright on some serious note, i have a family members that are dentists and one that is an oral surgeon so ill tell you what i know.

it is mostly genetics, BUT, the posture of your neck and the head can affect it. A lot of people who lean towards one side while sleeping or standing, usually have that side of the face prolonged. But they said its still mostly gentics. Cant believe im actually dropping some knowledge on this website for yall

also looking down a lot during the early preteen can play a part. Thats why people back then that played the piana, that looked downward for the music sheet, had jaw issues which caused either class three bite or the top and bottom hitting each other which cause the molars to not talks

molars to not touch is what i meant at the end. not talks

I have type 2 div 2 malocclusion but I still pressed my toungue against the lower incisors. I switched to mewing at 16. I used to only chew with the molars and one side in particular.

Do you have like a square face with lack of chin height?

And overbite is caused by too much mewing?

Which muscles specifically? Because I have always had weak musculature of chewing muscles exept for very strong buccipitors.

As I understand it deepbite is due to testing back third on top of the teeth. Causing them to go in erupted, which in tern in some way which I don’t fully grasp right now the bottom mandible goes stunted. I can sort of incision it but barely.

What do u think the solution is?

If its a skeletal case which in a lot of cases of deep bite it is the solution is using braces for orthondontic decompensation for around 12-18 months and then surgery, most likely low jaw surgery if nothing went wrong with your maxila, if the maxila also needs to be changed of position bimax.

Its a serious problem.

how, I've read if the breathing isn't impeared surgery might not even be necessary

It affects ur speech, you will have tmj in the future. If u dont do the surgery you can do orthondontic compensation but i dont recomend that.

bimax is also a major risk for chronic pain and/or tmj, depends how severe the case is. Also I do think that underbites in males from an aesthetic pov are better off than the classic overbite cases with recessed chin

None is good, its not even a question of whats better or whats not, both are failos. But yeah all depends on how severe it is, If there is small discrepancies sometimes its not even noticeable especially from a front profile.

ive got a skeletal overbite but my chin doesnt have a reccessed look tbh

I think dental compensation helped me a lot

One of the main things putting me off jaw surgery if the fact ill be looksminning myself by getting my bite decompensated for a year then obviously looksminned from the surgeru itself for like 3 months while swollen.

its a lot of your prime to sacrifice not to mention then expense as well. I dont think bimax is worth it for marginal benefits- but if youre clearly reccessed its life changing so defo worth it

I was thinking about extruding the teeth + IMDO. What do u think?

exactly my thoughts, I better use the time approaching some beckies and pray to Saint mew than spending tens of thousands of bucks to be swollen and in pain for months. Heard of a dude who was swollen to shit for like 8 months. Thats 8 months of prime youth years lost
