Joining writing communties has reminded me how much I hate gamers...

Been on a number of writing/novel/authoring sites as of recently. Just fucking lol at the massive difference in general maturity compared to your typical gaming forum. This is despite even accounting for differences in age. Just lol at gamers pretending their communities aren't a cesspool of immature twats. Fact is video games attract people whom are by nature immature. And as they get older this problem only becomes worse.

This is super low IQ ngl. The market for novels is completely different than for gamers. Even a medicore novel is probably written by somebody with 100+ IQ. And unlike games, if it's any good it will probably stick around in your mind after you've read it for longer than 1 day.

It's a completely different medium with a completely difference audience. The stereotype about book readers being smarter is real as fuck 100% srs. That's not to say there aren't obnoxious nerds/geeks/snobs in the writing/reading community, but the average IQ is at least one standard deviation higher.

They're either 1. Superiority complex asshats who use big words to sound smart

2.) Actual articulate intelligent people.

3.) Fanfiction writers who are generally teenagers who think they can write.
