I would have absolutely dared that robed manlet to put me in jail. But the ex Navy guy failed to provide a real reason for not wanting to wear a mask, only reasoning that they were not required in the rest of the building, and that greatly under cuts his legal case. I suspect the Judge would have just dismissed him if he had given any half assed reason for not wanting to wear a mask. I would have said that I refuse to wear a mask because masks foment fear and the normalization of masks enables criminal activity. And saying sitting in a jail cell in an orange jumpsuit is the worst 24 hours of your life is hyperbolic. I have had two worse day just in the past month.

that poor woman was just doing her job, she was literally following orders. the judge has more leeway but he was also trying to enforce a rule. although the difference is that if the juror is required to attend, then he is free not to wear a mask

What's the deal with jury duty, we don't have such a thing in Romania, how can you take a bunch of random people to give a verdict in a case, it's simply dumb...

It is seen as a "privilege" in America to participate in civic government or some shit

you can definitely force people to do it here

romania has no crime though - once a year a band of gypys will steal a computer from the library or there will be some dark web scam service run there but otherwise i think romania has like 6 crimes a year so it's not necessary.

No, I have not gotten the test done yet, it is a Cystatin C test not a T test. My last T test was about 900 ng/dl.

The jury concept made more sense in 1790. Juries are usually only used in Serious criminal cases. The jury concept is far from perfect, but I am hard pressed to think of a fairer way.

I didn't comment on that because I know that will never be passed into law, unlikely it is even put up for a vote in the VIrginia legislature. It is just one crazy Leftist grand standing for campaign donations from leftist ideologues. I saw a clip of her talking on Tucker Carlson, holy fuck that this bitch that immigrated from Peru maybe 10 years ago and is still talking with a very heavy accent, has the audacity to try and game the US political media complex for personal gain.

Not sure of your point here. What would have been better than a jury trial in the NC case? And although I am pro death penalty, I recognize that all death penalty verdicts are appealed pro bono for at least 10 years by anti death penalty zealot lawyers, and that the cost to the State to defend those appeals actually exceeds the cost of incarcerating him.

my point is that the jury system is actually very flawed

it only took one moron on the jury to ruin the decision, and that juror convinced two others

i wonder if someone went cruz on that juror's family, how they'd feel. i think it would change their mind
