Perhaps it's a cultural difference but my country is very redpilled and blackpilled so workplace harassment is a norm. Money, social status ..etc are just tools to achieve smv. That's a common sense to everybody here. That's why in my country, if you work for another man and if your boss senses that you have a higher smv than him, he will try anything to fire you or humiliate you publicly.
