Yes but it still is weird that parents like the stranger guy more than their daughter. Probably distant family relations. The forced thing isn't that common these days, most parents now only go ahead if the girl is okay with it. Lot of girls are university educated imo.
It's not about having another mouth to feed but just the responsibility of having an adult female in the family who needs to be protected etc all the time, theu shift all the responsibility onto the husband which is why they're so eager to marry them off. Also because girls are going to go live with the husband's family so that's why the parents don't have much stock in daughters.
