Androgenetic alopecia (AGA) is a nonscarring pattern hair loss affecting both sexes. There have been no previous reports on very advanced AGA responsive to medical treatment. Here,we present a sex reassignment patient on estrogen therapy who experienced full hair regrowth over completely alopecic scalp.

But seriously, this gives me an idea, if you ever go bald, why not take AI + apply estrogen cream on your head everyday?

lol I bet soon there will be a big switcharoo and science finds DHT protects against balding while estrogen promotes it in men, just like it was long thought that DHT increased prostate cancer rate, yet aromatase inhibitors reduce prostate cancer rate even though they decrease estrogen and increase DHT. Also estrogen therapy increases prostate cancer rate in men...

There's a theory that excess estrogen in skin causes over-reaction where excess DHT starts being produced to counter-act the estrogen.

TBH I'm deathly afraid of balding, I might just create my own shampoo with minoxidil/caffeine and put that shit on my face and scalp every morning. Fuck that shit I am not waiting till I might or might not become bald, that's for cucks that wait all their life and never ask a girl out. I am buying that shit right now.

Try taurine and dermapen.

The thing is I already have a huge stack of supps. What's your experience with it? I have good hair growth right now and I want to prevent balding, not necessarily improve my hair growth.

It prevents and reverses fibrosis. Its a key if you want to avoid balding.

It's pretty funny, I see a lot of before/after that finasteride which blocks DHT production causes facial fat loss. So many people here cry about face bloat from estrogen, yet MtoF usually shows reduced facial fat even though they gain weight.

If this is true then it would be big for joints, blood vessels, muscle, etc?

It does seem very healthy:https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2994368/

Is there anything similar to it?

Doesn't make sense cause when you take fin estrogen increases in the body

I said excess estrogen leads to excess DHT in skin, that it's only a theory.

If you take fin, your body can't make a lot of DHT, can it?

If this is true then taking aromatase inhibitors cures balding jfl

just drink redbull

For me and my pheno, it would be absolutely essential if needed.

it is a staple supplement in bodybuilding. Really good for recovery and nitric oxide production. It also raises hgh. Really healthy also.

RPF guys have been theorizing that for a while

its fascinating and i believe they might be onto something

it doesn't explain why 5ar inhibitors are the most effective tool against balding though.

Yes it does? The idea is that excess estrogen in skin leads to excess androgens, the androgens and estrogens both mess up the hair cycle.

You can have either manly hair(high androgens) or female hair(high estrogens), but I don't think you can have a mix. So it's better to either have high androgens or high estrogens in your scalp, but not both.

So the 5-AR inhibitors reduce skin DHT levels, while estrogen levels increase, so you have a more feminine hair growth then dictated by female hormones.

There's some weak evidence that estrogen applied to male scalp causes hair loss.

Look at this study: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6989660/

Low-dose of DHT increased hair length, high-dose of DHT decreased hair-growth. It seems likely that scalp hair-loss is related to build-up of androgens and estrogens. Minoxidil works by improving blood flow, thus it flushes the hormones away.

Scalp massages are probably legit for preventing baldness. Some kind of issue with scalp fascia is likely the cause of decreased blood flow > increased hormones in skin > worse skin growth.
Here you can see 10^-7 mol/L of DHT caused hair growth much stronger than control, but 10^-6 mol/L of DHT was simply too much. You can also see that too little DHT does not and the hair looks the same as in control.

I think exercising scalp muscles is important and stretching the fascia on your head daily, I do it every-day to improve my looks(idk why, but it just improves my eye area for some reason), but ngl my hair has never looked better, but then again I am living an extremely healthy lifestyle so I can't for certainty attribute it to that.

Here is another study showing obesity to be correlated with hair loss, this makes sense since the increased fat in the skin increases aromatization and increases the amount of estrogen in the scalp:

The association between obesity, leptin, and androgenetic alopecia (AGA) in males has been investigated by the group of Yang [105, 106]. Higher BMI was significantly correlated with increased severity of hair loss in men with male-pattern AGA, particularly in those with early-onset of AGA.

TL;DR Either have DHT or E dominating in your scalp, not both. Blood flow is important to prevent build-up of these hormones.

haven't heard of that theory before. That doesn't mean its wrong

have you actually recovered hair using the fascia stretches? or even maintained with it?

Bruh I ain't balding, don't think I ever will. My hair does look pretty good though, most people around my age have pretty fucked up dried out hair, but it's probably the cold showers and nopoo.
