I’ve been tested several times over the past few years. About 2-3 years ago, my t-levels were consistently around 800-880 ng/dl, but they’ve dropped significantly to roughly 400-550 ng/dl. Reasons aren’t specified yet.
I haven’t recently checked free T, though estrogen and SHBG were normal.
My ACTH, DHEAS, cortisol, and aldosterone have all been near the lower end of the reference range, so I’m currently investigating a possible adrenal issue.

Yes, I’ve been dealing with low motivation, constant tiredness, and brain fog. There are other factors likely affecting my hormones though, it’s clear something’s off.
I also suffer from severe snd lifelong sleep deprivation, and chronic gut issues, which I try to address atm.

Still, even when my t was high, I never saw regular sex as “the best thing in the world”
Hookups, particularly with strangers, feel exhausting to me and not particularly enjoyable, or worth all the prior effort.
Sex with my gf, or a person you have some personal connection to, was much better, and I’ve received similar takes from other men.

So, I won’t deny that this might cloud my perception in this matter, but most of the things people desperately chase (status, sex, attention, money) seem driven by social validation and approval.
Even with high T, I never had the drive to pursue those goals, because I realised a lot of men do it just to fill some internal void.
I am aware of strong genetic and situational limits on what anyone can realistically achieve, and even if I could push past those, why would I?
Just for a bit more attention or approval? That kind of motivation would never feel genuine or sustainable to me.
We, as humans are nothing more than an insignificant specck in the grand scheme of things, so we need to create meaning in our lives.
For most people, this sense of meaning can’t be defined, so they align themselves with pursuits that are socially accepted/ valued.
