The way I see it, this body is a vector for information(both genetic and learned) to be handed off to the next generation. My goal is to have children who will hopefully have better genetics(via genomic screening and a suitable egg donor/surrogate) and health(better diet and environment) than myself. My goal right now is to save money, finish college, and make more money to facilitate this, raise my children into adulthood, and then I can die.

The same reason I wish to eat, to breathe, to have sex. My body desires it and I will obey. Beyond that, it gives me a hope for the future, something greater than myself as an individual to believe in.
