Around four years.

I started designing stuff for robux as a kid and then have been doing progressively larger scale projects.

I also do video editing and got a big job for a different tech company.

For a 15 year old I'd say these are pretty big accomplishments.

On top of all that I own a clothing brand where I make all the designs myself.

Learn photoshop and after effects, it's actually really helpful even if you don't pursue graphic design or video editing.

What type of editing do you know? I make typography edits which companies really like.

I recommend asking all of your parents' friends if they know anyone who needs an advertisement. My parents sometimes come to me and ask me to make posters for them or for their friends.

3d is definitely a good skill to have, I used to do a lot of thumbnails for video games and I have over 1000 hours in blender and I still can't model . I did posing and lighting and then took it into photoshop and used camera raw filter.

If you can model your own mockups in blender that would be very useful. Buying mockups and texturing them with your designs in blender and setting up the right lighting is another option. Texturing could be a bit difficult though, I've done it on occasion.

I am also not super concerned about ai unless used by the right people, ai will realistically mostly benefit creatives. There's certain level of creativity necessary to design something good in my opinion. I use AI tools in my design like background removers but I don't think AI will take my job completely.

Also the effort to reward is worth it to me because I love looking at a design and going "wow I made that" it's similar to making music to me, I can express myself creatively, getting paid is just a bonus.

Hopefully these answers were good enough.

im fairly good at modelling and nodes in blender, real weakness is cad and sculpting. ive always mostly stuck with procedural texturing
