Bro I was just out on a walk, minding my own business, trying to clear my head, and this random dog just comes up and bites me. No warning, no barking, just teeth in my arm out of nowhere.
And of course the owner hits me with the classic 'Oh he never bites'. Cool, well he does now. On me. Today. Thanks for that. Then it was 'He's just scared' and 'He's usually so friendly'. Bro I don't care how friendly he is with you, your dog just bit a stranger for literally walking by.
I am so tired of people acting like their dog is a special little angel while it is out here putting holes in people. Like we are all supposed to just accept getting bit on the sidewalk because 'he's a rescue' or 'he's nervous'. Newsflash, if your dog bites people, it is your problem, and you need to handle it.
Now I'm sitting here with a bite mark on my arm, scrubbing it out, hoping I don't need a tetanus shot or end up with some infection, while the owner just shrugs like it was a minor inconvenience. My day is ruined, my walk is ruined, my arm hurts, and I'm the one dealing with it because someone else can't leash their dog properly.
I don't care if your dog is your baby, your emotional support, your whatever. If it bites people on walks, you need to get control of it or don't bring it out. I'm not out here to be your dog's chew toy while you mumble apologies and act like I'm overreacting.
I'm mad, bro. I'm tired of being polite about it. Dogs that bite people on the street are not cute, and if you can't keep your dog from attacking random people walking by, you should not have a dog.
