For those unfamiliar with my story, I had a severe underbite in my teens and got braces aged 16-18 to push my mandible back inwards to mask the underbite
This was retarded since I blatantly needed surgery at this time but pushing my mandible back gave me a round jaw appearance since my gonians were now pushed back and hence further away from the observer and also hidden by soft tissue which is less stretched out.
In the past couple of months I've had invisalign to undo the previous orthodontic treatment to bring my teeth back to a natural position so that I can get a lefort.
My mandible is coming forward again due to the invisalign.
When I get out of the shower and have some water in my ear I will put my little finger in my ear to remove the water, I was surprised to realize my ear felt less blocked than usual, in fact I could push my little finger further down my earhole than I can remember ever doing before and there was no wax or blockage like I'd usually have.
I thought nothing of this until it dawned on me, my ear hole is no longer blocked like it was because my mandible is no longer pushed back into an unnatural position meaning it's no longer forced against my ear hole.
It is fucking absurd and outrageous that orthos are willing to deform people by moving their teeth into unnatural angles so that they can wedge your mandible back so far that it blocks up your ears
