Insisted on correcting my maxilla deficiency with paranasal + orbital PEEK implants. Said my lower jaw was in the right position, but I know my mandible is pretty small in general. Kind of concerned this would throw things out of proportion and result in a smaller looking mandible and oversized midface. Can PM more pics. Thoughts?

why implants? your maxilla seems recessed. it can be really good with bimax + cheekbone implants.

He said it may be a long process of decompensating teeth through upper molar extraction and braces to be able to preserve my occulusion with bimax

I was meaning to make a post yesterday about this exact problem. When the occlusion is already far enough forward, but you have recession, it means upper maxillary recession.

The best solution is actually to augment the midface as Ramieri said. It is good if he is offering this though, because few bimax surgeons do.

so there must be teeth alighment after bimax even without CCW? I don't get it. AFAIK, bimax can be done by just forwarding the teeth, without any braces after OP.

I was informed that your bite can relapse and come out of alignment if it isn't secured during the healing process. It's less of aligning the teeth in some cases, and more of keeping the jaws positioned where they should with braces and rubber bands.
