Why would someone not be able to use isotret

Isotret is advised to not be used with people who have Ulcerative Colitis as it can precipitate flares in susceptible human. Modern studies show no strong link. But earlier I started isotretinoin and flared within a month.

It was an ASUC flare, that started around 26th Dec 2025 and it's still going on till now.

I have been through severe bleeding, malnutrition, CMV infection with ASUC, Tofacitinib Induced Hemolysis and a lot.

I genuinely experienced one of the most complex cases of Ulcerative Colitis. As I am like one of the only person to have developed drug induced hemolysis by tofacitinib. My hemoglobin dropped to 3 g/dL. A day late and I would've have been dead.

Now I'm on my second biologic, Ustekinumab.

I'm constantly on oral corticosteroids which is a looks min drug honestly, gives you acne, moonface and what not.

So after trying retinoids, tazret, and everything, different types of diet and supplementations like ( Zinc + Cu + Vit B5 high doses ) the only last few options I had were Chemical peeling and lasers.

So did a peel and it has shown great results.

It was a superficial peel, I had grade II acne, my face won't be able to tolerate that strong peel and I also have a complex medical condition.

It was 20% Salicylic and 15% Azelaic.
