literally pointless, its only function is to get ur body ready for rem sleep, which u can obtain without the need for excess n2 sleep in short naps
here is ur normie sleep schedule
first two cycles:

and so on, consisting of only n2 and rem
rem and n3 sleep is all that matters in reality
so by sleeping only 2 sleep cycles in ur core sleep, and supplementing naps throughout the day u are getting the same amount of rem and n3 sleep without wasting any time
ideal schedule is 3.5 hour core sleep, 3 20 min naps to supplement rem
this way u get same benefits for almost half the amount of sleep
