If your maxilla is abnormally vertically short, pushing it even more up with your tongue will permanently deform it and make you a goblin. There is no surgery that will lengthen your maxilla to human levels if u fuck it up like that.

However if someone with SFS mouthbreathes, their maxilla will grow downwards (although not forwards), and they will develop normal human looking facial ratios. Later he can just get a lefort and bring his maxilla forward and slay.

So yes unironically if you have short face syndrome please do mouthbreathe

your maxilla has a limited amount of forward growth already, if you have sfs there is no pushing the maxilla further up you wont gain any upward grwoth from mewing only forward. Your maxilla is already recessed as shit with sfs why would you even recesses it more with that shit?
